Each bedroom has en-suite facilities, and the fully enclosed garden offers a tranquil, relaxing, and quiet retreat for all residents.
Our residents are provided with delicious home-cooked meals as part of a nutritious mealtime experience.
We have a dedicated team comprising, nurses, care staff, housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, and maintenance and as a team we provide the following services:
Nursing Care
We are registered to provide Nursing Care and have friendly, highly qualified nursing staff in attendance 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. The people we support are given the very best care and attention; continually tailored to meet their specific needs.
We offer professional help and support to meet individual personal care needs as well as assisting residents at mealtimes, supporting engagement in social activities, hobbies, and pastimes, and ensuring that medication is available as prescribed. In addition, we provide specialist nursing care for residents living with physical disabilities, various types of dementia, mental illness, and a range of complex medical conditions.
Respite Care
Respite care is the provision of short-term accommodation in a ‘home from home’ environment in which a loved one may be placed. This provides temporary relief to those who are caring for family members at home in order that they can continue as caregivers and avoid premature admission to formal services on a permanent placement.
We offer respite care at all our homes, giving individuals a positive experience for a set period of time in a warm and loving environment.
Dementia Care
Care for individuals living with dementia may consist of formal and informal care. Formal care involves the services of community and medical partners, while informal care involves the support of family, friends, and local communities, but more often from spouses, adult children, and other relatives. In most mild to medium cases of dementia the primary caregiver is a family member, usually a spouse or adult child. Over time more and more professional care in the form of nursing and other supportive care may be required, whether at home or in a long-term care facility. We offer specialist care for people living with dementia at Chesford Grange to ensure that they continue to live a full and active life.
Palliative Care
Chesford Grange offers the highest quality of care and attention to those nearing the end of their life. The service provision includes individualised pain relief, physical and psychological care, as well as emotional support, empathy and compassion shown to everyone; the individual, their family and loved ones.
This specialist care enables individuals suffering from chronic illness to remain out of hospital whilst still receiving appropriate care and support.
EMI Care
EMI stands for ‘elderly mentally ill’ and EMI care is the provision of care for older people with mental frailty. At Chesford Grange we offer specialist care for people with mental illness in a safe environment with a variety of opportunities for social interaction.
Residential Care
Residential care refers to long-term care given to adults who stay in a residential setting rather than in their own or family home. This includes, but is not limited to, people living with disabilities, mental health problems, learning difficulties, Alzheimer’s dementia or who are frail. If home based care is not available or appropriate for the individual, then residential care may be required. Quality of life is always an important consideration, particularly as we get older. Choosing to live in a care home can make a dramatic difference to individuals who are finding it harder to manage on their own, or who need more help than they currently receive. Chesford Grange is where all our services focus on maintaining people’s dignity, catering to their individual needs, and creating a warm, safe community environment where people feel a strong sense of belonging and enjoy a great quality of life.
