Weston Park Care Home is a purpose-built home set in its own grounds with landscaped gardens. The home provides a high standard of care in three units for general nursing and nursing with dementia.
Weston Park is located on the outskirts of Macclesfield town with the centre being a short drive or bus ride away. The home is situated in a quiet residential area set back from the road, on the main bus route and easily accessible from the Leek and Congleton Roads.
First Class Care
Our person centred approach means that each resident is an individual treated with respect and dignity. Each resident has a named key worker and an individual care plan. This will cover their personal and medical history, as well as a record of particular activities they enjoy and any cultural or religious aspects of their care.
Residents, and where appropriate their families, are involved as far as practical in the decisions regarding their care. Emphasis on all aspects of care is the Manager’s primary concern and, together with the experienced team of qualified staff, all adhere to rigorous standards with internal audits and checks.
At Weston Park Care Home we have an excellent working relationship with the partners from the local GP practice. We very much recognise the importance of personal, individual communication between all members of the care team, be they carers, nurses, relatives or doctors, is essential.
Facilities
Weston Park is a well equipped comfortable home with bright spacious TV lounges with modern flat screens. There are several quiet lounges and separate dining areas. There are also enclosed landscaped garden areas to the rear of the home for residents to enjoy. The home is maintained to a high standard and has excellent facilities.
The Accommodation provides residents with a choice of environments in which to relax or meet friends and relatives. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities.
We have spacious communal dining rooms where our Chef provides nutritionally balanced menus that are carefully prepared to ensure the best combination of nutrition and flavour for our residents. The resident and families are consulted on their likes and dislikes and we cater for all dietary requirements.
Weston Park has an on-site hairdressing salon that is visited regularly by an experienced stylist. Other complementary therapies can be tailored to individual needs and the home is attended frequently by a qualified chiropodist.
We encourage residents to follow hobbies and interests; however there is no pressure and each person is treated as an individual. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. We have a Personal Activities Leader who ensures our residents can enjoy an active social life if they wish and residents can get involved in hobbies of their choice and take part in activities that interest them. Life history is obtained for all residents on admission so that staff can gain insight into the person they are looking after. The programme includes handicrafts, gardening, quizzes, board games and jigsaws to name a few. We also have regular visits from entertainers, the PAT dog scheme (Pets as Therapy) and exercise classes.
Types of Stay
Weston Park provides care for a variety of needs. We have three units, Mulberry, Waterside and Weaver, catering for Nursing and Dementia EMI. Mulberry and Silk units provide nursing with dementia care and the Weaver units provide general nursing care. The home has a team of qualified nurses and well-trained dedicated care assistants that provide an excellent standard of 24-hour care.
We fully appreciate the stress associated with leaving home to live in a new location, and are happy to accept new residents for an agreed trial period at the end of which there would be no further obligations.
Philosophy of Care
We are committed to providing the highest possible standards of care. Residents will be treated as individuals and cared for with respect and dignity within a safe, comfortable and homely environment that provides stimulation and encourages independence where appropriate.

Meet the Manager – John Craig

I am the manager at Weston Park and started with Capital Care Group on the 18th March 2024.
I trained as a Registered Learning Disability nurse in 1986 and have worked in a number of care settings since qualifying in 1989. These settings include working as a community nurse, managing community services, managing a complex behaviour hospital, as well as managing a number of care homes in the North West.
I started to work in the care sector in 1981 by chance, but have enjoyed caring for people and managing services ever since that fortunate role.
My philosophy of care is very simple, our residents are the sole reason why we come to work, whether that be as the home manager, care staff, or our fabulous support teams. As long as we remember to place the resident at the centre of all we do, we will give them the best quality of life that we can.
